In the summer of 2011 I attended a painting seminar in Torri Superiore, Italy. It was called “Visions in Mische Technique” with Laurence Caruana, Andrew Gonzalez, and Amanda Sage. Torri Superiore is an eco village located in the 14th century town of Torri, in the Italian Riveria. This was a 3 week seminar where we learned the mische technique, and old masters painting process using egg tempera and oil glazes. I also took an air brush workshop with Andrew Gonzalez. Below are the 3 paintings I created.
